THINKANTECH Launches 130W and 200W GaN PD Fast Charging Solutions: Compact Size, High Efficiency, and Low Cost Design
THINKANTECH has officially released its 200W GaN PD fast charging adapter reference design (Product Code: XPC200G). This solution utilizes a PFC + LLC topology.
In the PFC stage, the design pairs a THINKANTECH xGaN 650V E-mode GaN power device (XG6508B8) with a THINKANTECH XD6504D 650V/4A xSiC series silicon carbide diode, controlled by the ON Semiconductor NCP1616A1.
In the LLC stage, two THINKANTECH xGaN 650V E-mode GaN power devices (XG6508B8) are employed, driven by the ON Semiconductor NCP13992AB LLC controller. Secondary-side synchronous rectification is implemented using the ON Semiconductor NCP4306, while the low-voltage MOSFET on the secondary side adopts the Hengtai Ke HGN046NE06AL.
The overall solution measures 80 × 65 × 25 mm (with a board height of 20 mm). The system achieves a peak efficiency exceeding 95% and has successfully passed both conducted and radiated EMI tests, making it ready for mass production.
