The Origin of World GaN Day
Gallium Nitride (GaN) is a compound formed by gallium and nitrogen. With Nitrogen holding atomic number 7 on the periodic table and Gallium at 31, July 31 (7/31) was naturally inspired to become World GaN Day. The term “GaN Day” has since gained global recognition across the semiconductor industry.

In recent years, with the rapid deployment of GaN devices in consumer fast-charging applications, the technology has matured significantly. Over the past two years, GaN has increasingly expanded into industrial and automotive applications.
Through continuous technological innovation, THINKANTECH has advanced E-mode GaN processes to achieve higher power conversion capabilities. The company has taken a leading position in the industry by successfully delivering:
• 3.3 kW bidirectional charging/discharging systems for electric motorcycles
• 7.2 kW on-board chargers (OBCs) for electric vehicles
• 11 kW on-board chargers (OBCs) for electric vehicles
These high-performance achievements have secured strong market validation, allowing THINKANTECH to successfully enter the Qualified Vendor List (QVL) of tier-1 global server and datacenter power supply brands.
